My Brothers and Sisters in Islam.
Let us always be conscious of the
fact that man is not left alone he is
always tempted by Satan and His
Evil companion (Qareen) to do evil
things or say bad things. Therefore
when open your computer you
should know that there is a devil
also behind your keyboard who will
urge you to do or say evil. You
should therefore seek refuge from
Allah from the evil this gadget can
draw upon you and also ask Allah
of its benefits. We are instructed by
Allah to treat the Satan as an
enemy. Allah said:
ﺇﻥ ﺍﻟﺸﻴﻄﺎﻥ ﻟﻜﻢ ﻋﺪﻭ ﻓﺎﺗﺨﺬﻭﻩ ﻋﺪﻭﺍ ﺇﻧﻤﺎ ﻳﺪﻋﻮ
ﺣﺰﺑﻪ ﻟﻴﻜﻮﻧﻮﺍ ﻣﻦ ﺃﺻﺤﺎﺏ ﺍﻟﺴﻌﻴﺮ (6) ﺍﻟﻔﺎﻃﺮ
“In deed the Satan is your enemy
therefore you should take him as
an enemy, he only calls his party
so that they become the
companions of the hellfire”
The internet and the social media
are faceless media that gives a
person a false sense of security
which encourages the Devil to
insinuate a person into saying
anything that comes to his mind
without restrain or caring about the
consequences of such utterances
or actions. We should therefore be
careful of what we say or write or
post into the internet. Allah said:
ﻭﻗﻞ ﻟﻌﺒﺎﺩﻱ ﻳﻘﻮﻟﻮﺍ ﺍﻟﺘﻲ ﻫﻲ ﺃﺣﺴﻦ ﺇﻥ ﺍﻟﺸﻴﻄﺎﻥ
ﻳﻨﺰﻍ ﺑﻴﻨﻬﻢ ﺇﻥ ﺍﻟﺸﻴﻄﺎﻥ ﻛﺎﻥ ﻟﻺﻧﺴﺎﻥ ﻋﺪﻭﺍ ﻣﺒﻴﻨﺎ
53) )
“And say to my servants, they
should say what is best for the
Satan sows discord among people,
Satan indeed is an open enemy to
mankind”
And the prophet – alaihis Salatu
was Salam – said: “whoever
believes in Allah and the last day
should say what is good or keeps
quiet”
If we stick to this divine injunction
and prophetic advice we block the
gateway through which the devil
influences our sayings.
May Allah protect us all from all
