Meditation on the verses of Allah is a form of worship that will bring one closer to Allah, the Most High. There is no other book quite like the Book of Allah because it is not something that was made but rather it is the eternal Speech of Allah. This is the book that teaches you everything you need to know about life, death, and the afterlife.

On the Day of Judgment, the Qur’an will be a proof either for or against Us, depending on how it is interpreted.

This is because the Prophet, peace be upon him, said, “And the Quran is a proof for you or against you.”. [Muslim] Therefore, one of two things will occur as a result of this proof, Either it will work in one’s favor, providing evidence for us on the Day when we will need every good deed possible, or it will work against us. Either way, it will either work in one’s favor or against them.

Dear Muslim brothers and sisters, we ask that you give careful consideration to your relationship to the Quran. Are you choosing to disobey it, act contrary to it, and disregard the commands and prohibitions that it lays out? You appear to be giving it considerable consideration, don’t you? Will it be on your side when it comes to the Day of Judgment?

When it comes time for us to be judged, the Quran will be our advocate.

Haven’t you heard the statement of your Messenger : “Verily Allah raises some people by this Book and lowers others by it?

The characters in the Qur’an are drawn from the most admirable aspects of humanity.

It is said that the Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam (may Allah exalt his mention) said, “The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it to others.”

There are Ten Benefits Associated with Reciting Each Letter of the Quran.

As demonstrated by the Hadith that was narrated by At-Tirmithi and which reads as follows: “Whoever reads a letter from Allah’s Book will have a reward, and this reward will be multiplied by ten. I am not saying that the letters “Alif, Lam, Meem” are letters; rather, I am saying that the individual letters “Alif,” “Lam,” and “Meem” are letters. This is because the letters “Alif,” “Lam,” and “Meem” are frequently mentioned in the Holy Quran. As evidenced by a Hadith in At-Tirmithi: “Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah will receive a reward that will be multiplied by ten. “I am not saying ‘Alif, Lam, Meem’ is a letter, but rather ‘Alif’, ‘Lam’, and ‘Meem’ are letters.” [At-Tirmithi] Therefore, increase your Quran recitation to acquire these and the following virtues.

‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr bin Al-‘Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) overheard the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam (may Allah exalt his mention) saying, “It will be said to the companion of the Quran, ‘Read and ascend (through the levels of Paradise) and adorn your voice as you did in the worldly life! Indeed, your position in paradise will be determined by the final verse you recite!’” [Abu Dawood, At-Tirmithi]

The Quran Is the Path to Paradise

The Quran states (what does this mean): “Indeed, the Quran guides to that which is most appropriate and announces to believers who perform good deeds that they will receive a great reward.” [Quran: 17:9]

The Prophet sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam stated, “The Quran is an intercessor – something that has been granted permission to intercede – and it is rightfully believed in. Whoever places it before him, it will lead him to Paradise; whoever places it behind him, it will guide him to the Lake of Fire.” [At-Tabarani]

Know, beloved Brothers and Sisters, that all these nine of the numerous available benefits can only be achieved through a sincere commitment to the Book of Allah, and not merely through an empty claim of affection for it. Instead, the heart must be sincere in its attachment to the Book of Allah, and the limbs and tongue will follow suit. One must understand that we have only touched on a few of the numerous advantages of reading and contemplating the Quran. There are numerous other advantages to reading the Quran and Hadeeth, such as the chapter of the Quran that will intercede on your behalf in the afterlife, as well as physical healing and a source of rest and relaxation for the heart.
