Brothers and Sisters,
As we all know, only Allah knows
the extent of abuses, killings,
torture, rape and incarceration
many innocent Muslims suffer at
the hands of the security in
Nigeria. It will be criminal if we all
fold our arms and keep quiet while
these atrocities are meted to our
brothers and sisters. There is a lot
we can do. First and foremost let
us try and document these
atrocities. In sha Allah we are
going to follow them up to see that
the culprits are brought to book –
sooner or later.
If anyone in Maiduguri can contact
the imam Mal. Aji Mustapha who
lost 4 of his children, let us have
his particulars, his story posted
directly here.
Other similar cases also should be
documented and posted.
Please we should try and assist
each other, and we should never
be afraid. An Arab poet said:
ﻟﻴﺲ ﻣﻦ ﻣﺎﺕ ﻓﺎﺳﺘﺮﺍﺡ ﺑﻤﻴﺖ * ﺇﻧﻤﺎ ﺍﻟﻤﻴﺖ ﻣﻴﺖ

He is not dead the one who died
and rest in peace, the one truly
dead is the living dead. When fear
is stricken into our hearts to the
extent that we can’t speak, then
we are as good as already dead.
I am presently in Makkah, insha
Allah, on return; I intend to see the
IGP, NSA and VP over these
cases. At least to document our
grievances. Also to consult some
Muslim lawyers over the next step.
