The so-called Salat Al-Fatih – The Permanent Committee for Scholarly Research and Ifta(By Salaf-us-salih.com)

which they consider to be better than reciting the Qur’an. Is this true? Moreover, on Friday before Maghrib (Sunset) Salah and after Subh (Dawn) Salah, they circle around a piece of cloth on which, they claim, the Prophet (peace be upon him) and Ahmad Al-Tijany sit. During such times they recite the supplication called Salat Al-Fatih. Please, provide evidence and clarify if this practice is proper.
A: All their claims are false. Moreover, their deeds are null and void and are considered to be Bid’ahs (rejected innovation in religion).
For more clarification, I will cite the so-called Salat-ul-Fatih (Remembrance from the Tijaniyyah order). The following is cited in the Simplified Encyclopedia of Contemporary Religions, Doctrines, and Parties – The World Assembly Of Muslim Youths: “Their leader, Ahmad Al-Tijany, claims that he physically met the Prophet, peace be upon him, talked with him, and learned Salat-ul-Fatih from him- The wording of this Salat reads: “O Lord, have peace and blessings upon our master Muhammad, the opener of the closed, the last of the prophets, the supporter of right with right, and the guide to Your straight path, his family as high as his standing and rank.” They have beliefs concerning this Salah, including:The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, told him that the reward for reciting it once is equivalent to that of reciting the Qur’an six times.
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, told him once again that the reward for reciting this Salah once is six thousand times as much as that for every Dhikr (Remembrance of Allah), Du`a’ (supplication), long or short, and the recitation of the Qur’an (Jawahir Al-Ma`any Wa Bulugh Al-Amany, vol. 1, p. 136)
The reward for such Salah is gained only if the reciter is authorized to recite it. This means there should be a chain of authorization tracing back to Ahmad Al-Tijany who, according to him, received this Salah from the Messenger of Allah.
Allegedly being the words of Allah (Exalted be He), this Salah is deemed to be a Hadith Qudsy (Revelation from Allah in the Prophet’s words) (Al-Durrah Al-Faridah, vol. 4, p. 128).
– He who recites Salat-ul-Fatih ten times will gain a reward that even an `Arif (Sufi who has reached a high station of worship) who had lived for one million years would not get if he had not recited it.
– He who recites this Salah even once will have his sins forgiven and will have a reward as much as that for six thousand Tasbihs (saying: “Subhan Allah [Glory be to Allah]“), Du`a’s (supplication), and Dhikrs. (See Mushtaha Al-Kharif Al-Jani, pp. 127, 299 and 300.
I say that the following verse applies to the above: “Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands and then say, ‘This is from Allah,’ to purchase with it a little price!” The Committee elaborated on this sect in the previous Fatwas.
May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.

The Nikah Has Many Benefits And Is A Protection From Fornication – Shaykh Saalih al- Fawzaan(By Salaf-us-salih)

The Nikah is from the ways of
Allah with regard to his creation,
between the children of Adam,
male and female.
With it there are great benefits,
from them: chastity of the two
spouses, one to the other; to fulfill
what is required from the
husband towards his wife; the
husband taking care of his wife;
and protecting her. From it is also
the fulfilling of the desires of both
sexes and from it is having
children. There are many benefits
from Nikah…
The most important thing is that it
keeps you chaste from adultery,
from fornication and the loss of
lineage, and from the corruption
of moral uprightness. There is the
protection of one’s health.
As for adultery and fornication
then their end place is in
epidemics and in lethal illnesses,
as is well-known.
ﻭﻟﺎ ﺗﻘﺮﺑﻮﺍ ﺍﻟﺰﻧﺎ ﺇﻧﻪ ﻛﺎﻥ ﻓﺎﺣﺸﺔ ﻭﺳﺎﺀ ﺳﺒﻴﻠﺎ
And come not near to unlawful
sexual intercourse. Verily, it is a
Fahishah [i.e. anything that
transgresses its limits (a great
sin)], and an evil way (that leads
one to Hell unless Allah forgives
[Surah Al-‘Isrā’:32] With it there is the loss of lineage,
the spread of illnesses, the loss of
modesty and chastity. With it
there are great harms; fornication,
we seek refuge with Allah, what
an evil way. The harms of
fornication are not limited.
With Nikah, there is a protection
from fornication and from its
harms, and all praises are due to
Allah. Nikah produces offspring.
As for fornication then it is a loss.
The offspring from fornication
have no father and no lineage,
and we seek refuge with Allah.
Lost… This is from the
disadvantages of fornication.
He (Allah) didn’t say don’t
fornicate, he said don’t come
close to it, ‘don’t come near to it’,
i.e. stay away from the means
that lead to fornication. Such as:
looking, the seclusion with a man,
the traveling of the woman by
herself, her showing off her
beauty. These are means that
lead to falling into fornication.
Allah has not allowed them, he
has prohibited them.
If there is leniency in these means
then fornication will take place. If
there is leniency in these means
then fornication will take place,
because the desires are present.
Desires are present between men
and women. If they sat together
and mixed then fornication is
close. Shaytaan is present, if a
man secluded himself with a
woman, then shaytaan is the third
one amongst them.
They say you have bad thoughts
and that you are pessimists. We
are not pessimists, this is the
reality. This is the reality and if
these means that Allah has
prohibited are violated, then
fornication will occur, no doubt.
Even the righteous man, the
religious one, there is a danger
upon him from the woman.
Especially if she was beautiful
and he secluded himself with her
or traveled with her or she joined
him at work. Or if she sat with him
in the classroom, or in an exam,
or in meetings. Or if she sat with
him on the television, or on the
radio, as his colleague, i.e. a
presenter next to him, and she is
beautified and he is a youth. Far
is Allah from all imperfections. Do
you bring petrol next to fire?
Petrol is by itself and the fire is by
itself. You bring her next to him!
This is like that; no it is worse
than petrol and fire.
Desires… we seek refuge with
Allah, desires are strong. So for
this reason Allah (the Exalted,
Most High), has placed barriers
that prevent falling in to
fornication. If they are preserved,
fornication is lessened or cut-off.
If they are lost, then fornication
will occur without a doubt. No
matter what, even if they are
religious or modest, the children
of Adam are not saved from
fornication except by the means
that prevent it.

Asking about people to start fitna is not permissible – Explained by Shaykh Rabee(Salaf-us-salih)

Shaykh Muhammad bin
Haadee: The questioner says:
May Allah bless you and give you
good. Is asking about the people
from the guidance of the Salaf?
Shaykh Rabee: Yes, asking
about the people is from the
Minhaj of the Salaf; look to see
who you take your deen from.
Verily this knowledge is deen,
thus look to see from whom you
take your deen.
Some people ask will truthfulness
and sincerity, they desire to take
their deen from qualified Scholars
with sound Aqeedah and sound
Minhaj, thus for this reason they
And some of the people ask
because they want fitna. During
this time period, there are many
questions; what is your opinion
about so and so. What do you
think about so and so, what is
your view about the Minhaj of so
and so? And his intention is not to
benefit from the person or to
avoid him, rather he has another
intention. His intention is to
disseminate and spread fitna
among the people. These types of
questions are not permissible
because they are for the purpose
of fitna, and the affairs are
according to their intentions.
But if the questioner wants good,
and he wants to learn and he
wants to take his deen in the
correct manner then it is
incumbent upon him to search for
those whom he should take his
deen from.
